The first one I did was meant to hold recipes in plastic sheets. It was put together with screw fasteners incase the leather got gross and needed to be replace. The wood used was 1/8" Thick plywood paneling meant for the ends of cabinets. Its cheap, but still has a pretty wood grain on the outside. It was sealed with polyurethane
These next 4 books are all made as spell books for my D&D players each themed after their character. This one was for my Dragonborn Paladin and was made with Tiger Wood.
This one was for my halfling rogue. it was made with blood wood and was bound with a pink cork fabric instead of leather.
This one was for my Half Elf Ranger. It was made out of mahogany and I attempted a different style of stitching, so it created this interesting pucker look on the binding
This last one was for my Elf Wizard. It was made with lace wood and I found a nice antler button for the clasp.
